A consultation with Dr. Eliasieh is the first step of your patient experience at Lunata. As a board-certified ASOPRS oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, he has extensive knowledge and skill in helping you reach your desired goals. During the consultation, Dr. Eliasieh will give you honest and thoughtful advice about your options and give you his recommendations for how to proceed.

In-person consultations will take place at Lunata’s Berkeley clinic. A virtual consultation requires photographs showing the area of concern in good lighting from three angles (straight on, left side, and right side; not selfies).
You will be invited to complete the check-in process online at home in advance of your appointment. Please remember to bring your photo ID and proof of insurance, if applicable.
What to Expect
on Consultation Day
On the day of your consultation, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete the check-in process. Our friendly staff will ensure your comfort as you wait to meet Dr. Eliasieh. The consultation will last about 30 to 45 minutes, during which time you can ask any questions, discuss your concerns, and gain a deeper understanding of what to expect from the recommended procedures. If necessary, Dr. Eliasieh will examine the area of concern and explain how the procedure will address both functional and aesthetic issues.
Schedule Your Procedure
Following your consultation, you will receive a detailed treatment plan, which includes details of the procedure discussed with Dr. Eliasieh as well as pricing. When you are ready to schedule your procedure, our team will guide you through the process and inform you if it will take place at our office, a nearby ambulatory surgery center, or a hospital.
Insurance and Financing Options
We understand that some procedures may have financial implications. While many cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance, our team will work with you to explore financing options and guide you through insurance-related questions for reconstructive surgeries and medical treatments. We are committed to making your experience as stress-free as possible, and our staff is available to assist you with payment plans or flexible scheduling options to suit your budget and needs.
Follow-Up and Recovery
At Lunata, we are dedicated to your wellbeing through your entire journey from consultation through to recovery. Most patients return for their first follow-up visit 6-10 days after their procedure. During this appointment, Dr. Eliasieh will assess your surgical site, remove dressings or sutures, and review your healing progress. Depending on your procedure, a second follow-up appointment may be scheduled in 2-4 weeks to ensure smooth healing.
Your final visit will be scheduled 8-10 weeks after your procedure. At this stage, Dr. Eliasieh will assess both the functional and aesthetic results, and provide recommendations on how to maintain your results over time.
