Laura Eliasieh
Co-Founder & Clinical Director
Laura Eliasieh is Lunata’s co-founder and clinical director. She is a PhD graduate of Stanford University with fifteen years of experience working in museums and the arts. Through Stanford’s Modern Thought and Literature Program, Laura studied the rise of social and environmental commitments in the arts and society more broadly. Working with senior staff at San Francisco’s de Young Museum and the San José Museum of Art among others, she gained valuable experience in strategic planning, organization, and leadership. In her role as co-founder, Laura has helped shape Lunata as a new medical practice that will help transform the healthcare and beauty industries to be more inclusive, age positive, and sustainable. As clinical director, she ensures the practice delivers high-quality patient care and that daily operations run smoothly.
Erica Hood
Clinic Manager
Erica Hood is Lunata’s clinic manager. She studied cosmetology at Milan Institute-Visalia before starting her career in the beauty and wellness industry. She has further developed her industry knowledge and skills working with clinicians at PowerMD and SkinSpirit to deliver premium aesthetic services including facials, injectables, lasers, body sculpture, and more. As Lunata’s clinic manager, Erica provides exceptional support and service to referring providers and patients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. She excels at building strong relationships, actively listening to their needs, and providing personalized solutions. A core member of the Lunata team, Erica is motivated by the opportunity to create a positive environment for every patient, growing an inclusive and empowered Lunata community.
Zohra Ashpari
Medical Assistant
Zohra Ashpari is Lunata’s medical assistant. She is a graduate of UCLA and the University of Chicago who worked for over ten years in the children’s publishing industry before pivoting to healthcare. She joined Lunata with a strong foundation of medical knowledge and works closely with Dr. Eliasieh to deliver high quality patient care. Zohra speaks French and Dari, a Persian dialect spoken in Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan. She has been passionate about serving BIPOC communities throughout her career, as reflected in her volunteer work with Macmillan’s Diversity Council, Scholastic’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and the grassroots organization People of Color in Publishing. This passion strengthens Lunata’s commitment to build an inclusive community of patients, celebrating each individual for their unique beauty and background. Zohra’s compassion and attention to detail increases the efficiency of both exams and procedures without compromising the quality of care.
